This past Friday January 11th I got the chance to go to this wonderful place called Young at Art Museum . I have been hearing great stories of this magical place and have been wanting to check it out. I heard of this great art event and was really interested in going I got the chance to go and share it with you here on my blog and I went with my dear friend Travis who always is into these creative places and spaces as I am. Here you will see just a glimpse of this great place I have some images and words for you but must suggest you go and visit for yourself.               saturday october 20th i was apart of a great event called Freedom Exposed at The Bubble (fort lauderdale, fl) put on by my buddy Danielle Leighla & David Michael Rameaux the show was an Interactive Journey for a great cause KORAKOR/ Spread Your Love (a non profit organization). Stay tuned for the next event they put on during Art Basel Miami in December. I got to create a fort for this show and wanted it to be a magical place for people to go and get lost for a moment. it was created with my retro flower sheets lots of strings flowers and feathers. i also set up my Peace Owl Forest art and vended. The event was full of beauty from the inside to outside, the start of the show took you through a journey each room a different story plus art on the walls & art installations like the revolving door project and a photo booth set up by KORAKOR, out front guests enjoyed food from Source Food Truck ...

saturday was the 6th annual Stitch Rock Indie Craft Show & Bazaar . it is held at Old School Square Delray in an old vintage gymnasium over 80 unique crafty & vintage vendors are spread out inside the gymnasium and also outside under a giant tent. this year i went for the outside spot rather than my usual inside spot the 3 years before, figured id be closer to nature but it was a tad humid this day but it was still nice. i have cut down on craft shows so i did feel a bit out of practice. wish my display was a little more exciting. a lot of work goes into preparing for a craft show and i crafted lots of new paintings, created flower power produce size bags & sandwich size bags, lots of new ceramic dishes & new prints. in august i got to fly away to paradise with my family to costa rica. we stayed at a little beach shack in playa esterillos. i enjoyed 8 days of beautiful sunrises of yellows oranges and pinks rising over palm trees and mountains, yummy foods, small wave days & big wave days, lots of seashells, waterfall, zip line over rainforest, friendly dog friends, beauty everywhere, yoga and headstands by the beach, painting w sisters, family and lovely sunsets. peace & love!
