surfy birdy

ok so it has come time for a little change in my art world. i see myself drifting away from the peace owl character more and more and painting what is in my heart more and more and that is the sea and surfing. Don't worry the peace owl is not going away he is just one part of my art and my heart so you will still see him but my main focus will be surf art and inspirational quote art, as I have bee n doing. I want to continue to spread peace & love but with lots of stoke mixed in. I hope you like the direction I am heading and I hope you continue to inspire me to do what I do with the sharing of your smiles & joy. saturday was the 6th annual Stitch Rock Indie Craft Show & Bazaar . it is held at Old School Square Delray in an old vintage gymnasium over 80 unique crafty & vintage vendors are spread out inside the gymnasium and also outside under a giant tent. this year i went for the outside spot rather than my usual inside spot the 3 years before, figured id be closer to nature but it was a tad humid this day but it was still nice. i have cut down on craft shows so i did feel a bit out of practice. wish my display was a little more exciting. a lot of work goes into preparing for a craft show and i crafted lots of new paintings, created flower power produce size bags & sandwich size bags, lots of new ceramic dishes & new prints. some new peace owl forest friends are getting ready for a big craft show this saturday october 6th, Stitch Rock Indie Craft Show & Bazaar . This is my fourth year doing this show and it is so exciting to be included in this great event. It takes place in an old historic gymnasium in downtown Delray with over 80 vendors with all sorts of handmade & vintage goodies. If you are in the area don't miss it. this past saturday was a crafty show & celebration of Stitch Rock Indie Craft Shows 5th birthday. Stitch Rock is the biggest craft show in South Florida and this is its 5th year it has grown allot through the years and gives the handmade, vintage, diy a wonderful place to vend and tons of unique crafts and goods for shoppers to treasure. this was my third year vending and i wanted to make sure i had new peace owl goodies at my booth. back in 09 this was the first big craft show i ever did, just to get accepted to vend is exciting. it is held in a vintage gymnasium in downtown delray beach, the past two shows have had even more crafty vendors (over 80) so it has an outside tent as well. i vended upstairs on the balcony of the gymnasium. i crafted some new things like some little peace owl adventure pillows: a vw bus peace owl mobile, teepee's, and retro peace owl camper. This was the second annual show and it was held at Old Davie Schoolhouse. It is put on by the Hollywood Craft Mafia a group of 4 crafty inspiring girls. They put on this large Odd Duck Handmade Bazaar annually and do other crafty diy events and mini Odd Ducks throughout the year. They really put on a great show, this one had about 80 crafty vendors in 3 different areas at this Old historic schoolhouse. I was in the downstairs auditorium there was also an upstairs area and a tent outside, plus a tiki food hut area and a grassy area were some bands played. this saturday was a very magical Crafty Picnic  at a lovely park in West Palm called Phipps Park. It had some beautiful trees, perfect for a nice shady place to craft under, also perfect trees to climb. I wish these trees were closer to my home. Or even if I could just have a tree house in one of the trees, that would be wonderful. This Crafty Picnic was put on by my crafty friend Hollie of Blueberryshoes Art and Vintage . She is very amazing and always puts together such cute crafty meetups. She also created an amazing Etsy Group called the Indie Free Spirits . Plus has a very magical Etsy shop  of fairy tale art & fashion. this saturday was the mini odd duck RETRO & Geek show . it was put on the amazing hollywood craft mafia and took place at Jezebels Vintage (Retro vendors) and Radioactive Records (Geek vendors). This show was 'mini' so the vendors had a 3 foot space to fill with goodies inside these 2 awesome places. Me and my twin sis ( chloe the hot dog and friends ) shared a spot. she had her retro flower doxie paintings and other doxie paintings, and some adorable florida oranges (ceramic & paintings). i had my peace owl 5 x 7 framed paintings, trunk of prints, ceramic mini mushrooms and mushroom flower vases/ peace owl bells.It was fun creating a cozy little display. my other neighbor at the show was hollie of blueberryshoes . i adore her and her craftyness. i am wearing her pine goddess crown in the bottom photo. she makes adorable bows, necklaces, paintings and more. everything has a special magic to it. also in the section i was in was Lorna Ruth (sweet alternative photogr...
