happy birthday dear bubble

this saturday was such a fun celebration of IWAN The Bubbles 's Happy 2 year Anniversary. i captured some of the fun for the first part of the event and got some of the wall art and bands, but more fun was to be had and the camera didnt stay attached. thanks to everyone who was apart of the magic. We lucked out with clear skys for a beautiful night. The event was filled with music (8 bands/ dj), art from exhibiting wall art to crafty vendors (Funk You , Edau, Lollipop Graphics , The Hemp Butterfly, Just V , Its Me Designs , Allison Kapner Originals , Holly Hobbys, Melodic Muses, Heartbeatz Accesories, One Odd Gentleman, Victor Velasco), photography installations by Sean Murdock, Valyn Calhoun and Parallax Squared, a photo FunBooth by Penelope Lane, food, drinks, dancing, cake, balloons, smiley faces, and lots of love. It was a great turn out for a wonderful place in Fort Lauderdale. I hope it continues to grow and grow. Everyone needs there own Bubble. I am so happy to have this place to call my second home. ♥ You can see more photos from the event in this album here.

I really do love bubbles...
oh wait is bubbles a person? Im sure if I met bubbles I'd love them.. but I mean, I love bubbles..soap bubbles, and cartoon bubbles, transparent plastic bubbles, disco bubbles, birthday ballon bubbles...so many bubbles...they all rock.

peace owls on the pages of a boho magazine

my peace owls are featured in the handmade section of boho mag's spring issue! this magazine is my favorite and it is a dream come true to be inside of it. it is an eco friendly fashion/ lifestyle magazine and its pages are printed on 100% recycled paper. you can find it at bookstores and newstands nationwide. i pick mine up at barnes and nobile. this issue is fresh on the newstands today. if you go to pages 20-21 you will find my peace owls and me. this issue is packed with lovely spring time, sparkles, pastels, paris, macarons and more. you can see it online too at http://www.bohomag.com/ . it still is unreal to me that i made it on the pages of a magazine so feel free to pinch me. ahhh. i'm so happy. :) peace & love!

I am opening up a brand new site www.surfybirdy.com and I will do future blog posts there along w other fun stuff. this blog will remain here as it is a old friend that i will forever cherish. It has been there for me to write and share photos with you since the beginning when I first stepped out into the art world in 2009. great memories have been shared here. but thats all besides the point. i'm here to do a new years post. 2014 was a great year for me. i finally took a leap and started following my dreams more. I no longer work in that dreaded office space that I wrote about each new year as I resolved to escape it each year and it never quite worked
